Meet your 2018 FOYA Uganda Team

Diane Ross Lover of all things Uganda (a lifetime)

Gargie Nagarkar- Gargie is a sociology major at Virginia Tech and will graduate this May 2018. She loves traveling, learning new languages, and playing soccer. She is especially passionate about social justice and empowering young girls, and is excited to return to Uganda this summer!

Gargie is planning to be in Uganda for the whole summer to work as Diane’s research assistant.

Amy Hodik- Freshman, Communications major with a minor in Public relations at Otterbein University. Rider on the equine eventing and dressage team. I enjoy helping others and new adventures.  

Megan Taylor– Senior, Art Education Major, Otterbein University

Mackenzie Swary– Junior Middle Childhood Education Major, Otterbein University

Lexi Roberts– Otterbein alum, Middle Childhood Education Major, Second time to traveling to Uganda- Recently finished training in Prague to receive TEFL certification

Michaela Miller– Otterbein alum, Management Degree, Third time to travel to Uganda- Recently finished training in Prague to receive TEFL certification, aspiring photographer (Michaela Jae Photography)

Alecia Baker– Otterbein alum.  Traveled to Uganda twice before. Third year teaching at Kelptz Early Childhood Center in Englewood, Ohio

Erinn Hagan– Third year teaching at Kelptz Early Childhood Center in Englewood, Ohio

Alexis Acosta– Otterbein alum, Middle Childhood Education Major- currently works with her husband in Fort Meyers, Florida as a Krav Maga trainer and nutrition specialist with Advo Care.
